# Stock photo search

The Media Assistant supports searches on Wikimedia Commons. This public sample page does not run a search itself and does not contain a fabricated search result.

## Workflow in Admin2

1. Open `Media Assistant` while signed in to Admin2 and select the actual target page.
2. Under `Stock images`, enter a search term and explicitly consent to sending it to Wikimedia Commons.
3. Run `Search images` and choose `Preview image` for a suitable result.
4. Check the source, author, license and required attribution, and enter suitable alternative text.
5. Use `Approve and import` to deliberately import the image as page media.
6. Add the returned Markdown link and visible attribution to the article as an editorial step.

## Requirements and limitations

The operator must configure private job storage outside all webroots and a real contact for the service identification. Page and API permissions also apply to imports.

The file is stored locally; other existing files are not overwritten. Importing alone does not change article text or publish an article. The metadata sidecar does not replace visible attribution. Not every Commons file has the same terms of use; Pexels and Unsplash are not implemented search providers here.
